Stainless steel items:
All of our stainless steel pieces are waterproof and tarnish proof.
It’s advised that you keep your jewellery in the pouch or the box that the pieces came in, as this would prevent any accidental damage.
In addition to this, it's recommended that you give your stainless steel pieces a gentle clean from time to time. As all of our stainless steel pieces are 18k gold PVD plated, it's best to not use any harsh chemicals, simply use the polishing cloth that came with your order to give your pieces a gentle clean and polish.
Sterling silver items:
For sterling silver items, the below is recommended to increase the longevity of the pieces.
One of the main things that is recommended with sterling silver is to wear these pieces often. The natural oils within your skin act as a protective barrier which keep the pieces looking shiny and prevents oxidation.
Moisture is one of the main components which can cause tarnishing and discolouration, so keeping your sterling silver jewellery dry at all times is one of the most important factors when taking care of your jewellery.
If you are planning on wearing any products like perfumes or lotions, it’s recommended that you use these before putting your jewellery on. Some but not all perfumes, lotions and other beauty products may contain harsh chemicals which could eventually have an impact on the jewellery.
Storing your jewellery is just as important as the other factors. It’s recommended that you keep your jewellery in the pouch or the box that the pieces came in. Keeping jewellery in a box helps to prevent accidental damage and things like dust and moisture getting into any crevices that the jewellery may have.
If your jewellery is showing minor signs of discolouration or tarnishing, simply use the polishing cloth that came in your order to gently clean and polish your pieces.
Freshwater pearls:
In order to keep the pearls shining, it's recommended (where able) to remove them when doing things such as showering or swimming. If you need to clean your freshwater pearls, simply use the polishing cloth that came with your order.
